Professional passenger transport with category B or C vehicles, subcategories B1 or C1 or special category F. Category D or D1 includes the permit.
Professional passenger transport with electric rickshaws does not require a permit even if the electric rickshaws are operated with a category B or special category F driver’s license.
Authorization BPT
One year of uncomplaining driving experience in the relevant category or a higher category, with the exception of category A and subcategory A1.
Example: Professional passenger transport for category B can therefore only be acquired at the age of 19 at the earliest, since 1 year of driving experience with category B is necessary.

The holder of a category C or subcategory C1 driving license will be granted the license upon application and provided that he/she can show that he or she has had driving experience in a motor vehicle of the corresponding category or a higher category, with the exception of category A and subcategory A1, without complaint for at least one year prior to submitting the application 121 for professional passenger transport without further examination. The holder of subcategory C1 must also have passed the additional theory test.
Holders of a category D or sub-category D1 driver’s license are granted a permit for professional passenger transport without further examination.
Driver’s license holders with ID in credit card format, showing category D1 3.5t; 106 on the basis of the category B blue driving license must pass a theoretical and practical test (code 121) or a practical test (code 122) or acquire subcategory D1 in order to be entitled to a BPT permit.

Anyone who passes the practical test with a category B vehicle may also carry out BPT with vehicles of category C (heavy ambulances) or subcategory C1 (heavy passenger vehicles, ambulances), provided he is in possession of the corresponding driver’s license category and the driver’s license for the category B (or subcategory C1 or category C) without complaint for at least one year.
